Using your own name in your podcast name

Tim Ferriss, Joe Rogan — podcasts named after their hosts almost always belong to people who already had an audience. If you don't, go descriptive instead.

Using your own name offers no hint about your show's content. If you've never heard of Tim Ferriss, his show could be about literally anything. (It's actually about interviewing world-class performers across all fields.)

If nobody knew Tim Ferriss, he'd probably have put more description into the title — something like 'How to be World Class' would catch his target audience's eye.

Strong personal brand already? Your name can work. Early-stage? Opt for a descriptive name instead.
