Rough podcast scripts

A rough script is three bullet points and your expertise. It produces the most natural, engaging sound — and the most editing if you go off-track.

This sits near the make-it-up-as-you-go end of the spectrum. You use bullets to remind you where you're heading, and rely on your expert knowledge to fill the gaps.

The reward: the most conversational, engaging style. Speaking from experience makes your voice active, not monotone.

The risk: you'll miss things — or get something wrong. Time saved on scripting can vanish in extra editing and re-records.

Use this when you know your topic cold. Three bullets is the cap — if you're tempted to add a fourth, you probably want a detailed script instead.
