There's no shortage of free podcast music online, as long as you credit and link back to the creator in your show notes. Two sources to start with.
The Podcast Host runs a free music library of its own — head to thepodcasthost.com/freemusic and pick something from there.
Incompetech.com is probably the most famous Creative Commons music resource on the web. A huge catalogue, organised by mood and genre.
The downside of free music: many other podcasters use the same tracks. Hard to build a memorable brand if your theme tune turns up on a dozen other shows.
